Jolancer and EFE Join Forces Under the AMAL Project to Empower Freelancers in Jordan
In a significant step towards fostering economic independence and entrepreneurial spirit, Jolancer, in collaboration with the esteemed partners of the Jordanian Education for Employment Foundation (EFE), has initiated the innovative AMAL project. This pioneering endeavour, backed by the French Government and the French Agency for Development (AFD), has set out to equip 469 aspiring individuals from diverse backgrounds with the requisite skills to thrive as freelancers in the dynamic digital landscape.
Under the comprehensive program, 21 groups were meticulously curated, each specializing in distinct fields including data entry, content writing, social media management, translation, online teaching, graphic design, and web development. The multifaceted curriculum delved into the intricacies of freelance work, elucidating the intricacies of harnessing one’s skill set to secure a sustainable income through various online platforms.
The project unfolded in two pivotal phases, commencing with an intensive training phase spanning 10 hours for each group. Subsequently, participants transitioned to the mentorship phase, where they received a minimum of 3 hours of personalized guidance. The mentorship phase focused on imparting advanced insights into the practical nuances of the training, ranging from constructing compelling profiles on online freelance platforms to crafting winning proposals that secure lucrative opportunities.
The mentorship component also extended into the implementation phase, where students were actively supported in the process of bidding, winning contracts, and executing projects with expert advice readily available. Furthermore, the mentors served as a wellspring of knowledge and motivation, addressing any queries or concerns, thereby fostering a nurturing environment for the students to flourish.
